Resin Jewelry
101 - $45
Mixed chemicals truly make cool jewels. Instructor - Amy Gresens
It is a fact that resin is
one of the most diverse mediums that may be used to create
beautiful jewelry.
In this class, you'll learn the basics of creating resin jewelry, learning several different methods to create a pendant necklace and pair of earrings or ring for you to take away with you at the end of class. From the sophisticated use of multiple bezels, to memorializing your favorite family or friend's photos, letters, or drawings, to adding vintage watch pieces to steam-punk it on out, the choices are endless. We'll also allow you to play with unconventional materials that you can embed in your projects to give them that extra special something with texture and form. The class will cover using a traditional pre-fab silicone mold, a free pouring process, and how to properly mix transparent dyes to create a wide variety of color mixes in your jewelry. Class attendees will be able to choose which type of jewelry they'd like to make (using the aforementioned processes) during the course of class. All projects will cure overnight and will be available for pick-up the next business day in the store. Requires: - Small photos, letters, sheet music, or any other personal effects you'd like to use in your jewelry (if making memorabilia jewelry) - All other materials, tools and findings will be supplied in class. Wednesday, June 19 7:00pm - 8:30pm Wednesday, July 11 7:00pm - 8:30pm Wednesday, August 15 7:00pm - 8:30pm
