Sewing 101

This 4 week course has everything you need to start you sewing on your own!

Our instructor, Brooke, will teach you all the basics and guide you to construct a stylish garment and a chic accessory. You will get to know your machine and become comfortable with all the professional sewing techniques, from language to processes.

Class will cover:
 basic sewing machine knowledge
 how to read a commercial pattern
 how to thread and use a sewing machine
 sewing terms and definitions
 professional sewing basics – buttonholes, zippers, and hems – oh my!
 how to lay out and cut a pattern
 pressing techniques
 making a chic tunic
 basic trouble shooting

Which Session Would You Like?





 
  Terms & Conditions:
Cancellations. Cancellations made at least 14 days before the first class meeting are eligible for refund or credit. The beehive reserves the right to cancel a class if fewer than two students enroll.
Private Sessions.  If a class is canceled due to lack of registration, students will be given the opportunity to attend the class as a private session for a $25 upcharge fee. Or, the student has the option to attend a future session where additional dates will be provided.
