meet: Becky Striepe
Creator of
Glue & Glitter

My day job is in public relations, and I am the co-founder and co-organizer of the popular Atlanta staple, the Indie Craft Experience, a once-a-year craft market in Atlanta. I'm also an avid writer, and I'm secretly working on a project that I hope will turn into a book someday. My parents made me wait until I was 12 years old to get my ears pierced, which is the only explanation I can come up with for why I am so obsessed with earrings! I do not leave the house unless I'm wearing a pair, and they are pretty much all I make these days.

I have been fortunate to write for some of the country's best publications, including readymade magazine, getcrafty.com, the crafty bastards blog, venuszine.com, craft magazine, croqzine, craftzine.com, two craft books by susan beal—“bead simple” and “button it up”—and to garth johnson’s book “1,000 ideas for creative reuse”.  In addition, I also often blog about crafts, debt and good times on her blog abardis.com, and find me in the book and documentary, “handmade nation,” and have been quoted by the New York Times about crafts!

I currently live with my devoted husband in Atlanta, Georgia.
