My love for design has been
prevalent throughout my life. I learned to cook, bake, sew, paint,
crochet and create all sorts of crafts at a young age. My ultimate
desire when graduating high school was to go into the interior
design/architecture business. Instead, my career took a left turn in
a different direction and I began a career in computer technology.
I since have earned a couple degrees in Information Technology and a
certification in Interior Design. By day I work as a Network
Engineer designing internetworks for a major utility in the
southeast. After establishing myself amongst the Internet geeks - me being one of them - I decided what better time to begin my interior design business. Broughton Design Studio opened its doors in 2001. The business is still operating, but with an eco-friendly vibe . Our new name is Broughton Design Studio: Chic Eco Interiors. My third passion in life is creating fantastic meals. I love experimenting with different herbs and spices some good some not so good. ;-). It was my family that encouraged me to do something else as if I didnt have enough to do. I decided why not create and share my all-natural and organic spice blends, rubs that will help the everyday cook with spicing up any meal without purchasing 10 different spices to make it just right. With that arrived Urban Spice Emporium. |
